Welcome to Vilanova Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, classes, and services. By using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By enrolling in our classes, accessing our website, or purchasing our services, you agree to abide by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to enroll in classes or purchase services from Vilanova BJJ without parental consent. For individuals under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on their behalf.

3. Classes and Services

• Class Structure: Vilanova BJJ offers classes for various skill levels, including beginner, advanced, and youth classes. Classes are organized based on skill level and age group to provide appropriate instruction.
• Modifications to Services: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue classes or services at any time without notice. We may also modify class schedules, instructors, and facilities to best meet the needs of our students.

4. Membership and Payment Terms

• Membership Fees: Memberships, class packages, and individual sessions must be paid for in full according to the terms provided at the time of purchase.
• Payment Methods: We accept payment via credit card, debit card, and other authorized methods.
• Cancellations and Refunds: Class cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid fees. Memberships and prepaid class packages are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in a specific agreement.
• Missed Classes: We do not guarantee make-up classes for missed sessions; however, we may offer alternative options depending on availability.

5. Code of Conduct

We aim to create a respectful and supportive environment. All students and visitors must:

• Respect fellow students, instructors, and staff.
• Follow the rules and instructions provided by Vilanova BJJ staff.
• Refrain from inappropriate, disruptive, or unsafe behavior.

Failure to follow this Code of Conduct may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund.

6. Assumption of Risk

Participating in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and other martial arts activities involves inherent risks. By enrolling in classes or participating in any Vilanova BJJ activity, you acknowledge and assume the risks associated with training and agree to hold Vilanova BJJ, its instructors, and staff harmless from any liability for injuries, losses, or damages that may occur during training or events.

7. Personal Belongings

Vilanova BJJ is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal items brought to our facility. Please secure your belongings in designated areas or lockers when available.

8. SMS Communications

By providing your phone number, you agree to receive SMS messages related to your classes, scheduling, updates, or promotions from Vilanova BJJ. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying “STOP” to any message. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier.

9. Privacy Policy

Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and videos, is the intellectual property of Vilanova BJJ and may not be used, reproduced, or distributed without our written permission.

11. Changes to Terms and Services

Vilanova BJJ reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of our services following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vilanova BJJ shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of our services, classes, or facilities.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the courts located in Ventura County, California.

Vilanova BJJ Online Shop – Return & Exchange Policy

Overview

We want you to love your Vilanova BJJ gear! If there’s an issue with your order, we’ll do our best to make it right. Please review our policy below for returns, exchanges, and claims.

Returns & Exchanges

• Quality Issues:

  • If you receive a damaged, defective, or misprinted item, contact us within 30 days of receiving your order. We’ll offer a free replacement or a refund—no need to return the product. Email us at shop@vilanovabjj.com with your order number, photos, and a description of the issue.

• Change of Mind/Incorrect Order:

  • Returns or exchanges for size, color, or style changes are not accepted unless there is a product defect. Please double-check your order details before checkout.

• Lost or Damaged in Transit:

  • If your order is lost or arrives damaged, contact us within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. We’ll work with you to resolve the issue.

How to Submit a Claim

1. Email shop@vilanovabjj.com within 30 days of receiving your order.

2. Include your order number and photos (if applicable).

3. Describe the issue clearly.

Exceptions

• Custom or personalized items are final sale unless defective.

• For legal reasons, we cannot accept returns on worn or washed items unless there is a manufacturing defect.
